The NFL is a WAY OF LIFE
…the words of Pro Football Hall of Fame Coach Vince Lombardi ring as true today as decades ago: “Football is a great deal like life in that it teaches that work, sacrifice, perseverance, competitive drive, selflessness and respect for authority is the price each and every one of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile.”
I like it, and dammit, it is true. Except for the million dollar contracts and some other stuff, it is totally true.
The NFL will be coming to a decision on where in Southern California it will allow a new team to blossum by May of next year. About freaking time.
Football is god. I would ease your pain by sending the Cardinals, but that wouldn’t really help anything on your end.

Yes, but Oxnard, “the Nard” to its inhabitants, has, in recent years, displayed a distinguished greatness on par with, or perhaps even greater-er than, that of San Francisco, Oakland, or San Diego. We deserve our OWN team! Not just some irresponsible Texans that come and take advantage of our consistently pleasant environment whenever they see fit!

Lets have a contest…the best name for a pro football team from the NARD…bwhahahhaha…come on JSOH, what do you think?
The Oxnard …..?
As to Ruby, well…
The football widow learns all the qualities mentioned through making food and waiting on her husband, as well as giving him up for a bit. The armchair quarterback learns all thes qualities in his quest to finish all those gallons of Nacho cheese.

Once Oxnard is awarded its own NFL team (in recognition of its residential excellence), I would like to see said team named after one of our many gangs, er, youth communities. The prominent groups are:
– The South Oxnard Gang
– The El Rio Gang
– Colonia
– Black Mafia
Personally, my vote goes to the Colonia. Their omnipresent public works put them slightly ahead of the rest of the pack. Still, if we wanted to recognize more than one of our communities, we could call the team The South Oxnard Colonia. That would work.
Colonia forever!
